Music
Worship is the focus of the Music Ministry at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church. We welcome all interested persons to join us in preparing and presenting sacred music in praise to the Holy Trinity. Music reading skills are a plus, but not required. We rehearse on Wednesdays 7:15 – 8:30 p.m. in the choir room, and on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. in the Choir section of the sanctuary from the first Wednesday after Labor Day through the Sunday of Pentecost. The start date of rehearsals is impacted if a bishop visit is in August or September.
Please contact Mother Beth+ at office@stchrisepiscopal.org for details and to get you plugged in! We would love to have you!

The St. Christopher’s Ringers
Jane Patterson & Anne Denbow, Co-Directors
St. Christopher’s has a 5-octave set of handbells. New volunteers are welcome at any time to expand our current handbell quartet. The handbell quartet is composed of church members who practice and perform at select times throughout the church year, rotating members as needed. Rehearsals are planned around scheduled worship appearances. We meet in the sanctuary.

Musicians for Evening Prayer Services
Singers and instrumentalists are invited to assist in Wednesday Evening Prayer Services from 5:45 pm to 6:15 pm. The musicians meet at 5:15 pm to rehearse that day’s musical offerings. This is a low-key, casual service, so it is a great way to break into the musical scene at St. Christopher’s! Please check our online calendar for planned Wednesday evening worship.
The St. Christopher’s Summer Singers
From Trinity Sunday, the first Sunday after Pentecost through the Sunday prior to Labor Day, anyone who wants to join in can be a voice in the Summer Singers! Sing one Sunday, sing all summer! There are no weeknight rehearsal; we meet at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays only in the Choir section of the sanctuary. The Summer Singers lead the musical worship on Sundays at the 10:00 a.m. worship service. You are also invited to sing at other special services throughout the church year, including Christmas Eve, Holy Week Services and occasional Evensongs. Please contact the church office (office@stchrisepiscopal.org) to join our merry group.
Children are welcome to join the Summer Singers as they feel called, and parents should plan to have them participate in rehearsals prior to worship services.
Special Musical Events
On occasion, The St. Christopher’s Choir collaborates with the other churches of the area Deanery for special musical worship events, i.e., Evensong or All Saints’ Day. Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany are times the congregation may offer concerts featuring St. Christopher’s Choir (please consult our online calendar). Duets and solos are offered by our Professional Section Leaders, in addition to instrumental pieces and choral motets. It is always a beautiful concert and service, both visually and musically!
